a thief may have taken advantage of local closures. it tells a liquor store was robbed of nearly $4,000 worth of liquor and cigarettes. police say no cash was taken. but the person responsible also smashed the glass door of the store. after being disrupted by sandy, early voting resumed in maryland today. voters turned out in large numbers. the state board of elections says the number of early voters so far is more than 192,000. some polling places reported a two hour wait. early building is open to registered voters through this friday, november 2. the polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. anyone still in line at 9:00 will get to cast their ballot. for a list of sites, even had our web site, wbaltv.com. mitt romney is hoping some of those votes were for him.

today he returned to the campaign trail but the republican presidential nominee clarified his position on the federal emergency management agency's role in disasters like hurricane sandy. in a statement released today, he says fema plays a key role in working with states and counties to prepare for a response to natural disasters. last year, mitt romney appeared to suggest fema should be shutdown and its responsibilities left to the state tree >> tonight bge restore power to more than 90% of customers. >> there are some still in the dark tonight. more on the cleanup in the aftermath. >> we are said at the bge area in timonium were a lot of just have come in and out. crews have been working around clock to restore power but there are still people in the dark tonight. they did not let that stop them

>> residents and state officials are grateful the this section is not as bad as it could have been. a lot of schools across the state have reopened but some are still closed. for a full list, had to wbaltv.com. >> thank you. when it comes to super storm sandy, no special hurricane deductible applies according to the marilyn's assurance administration. the national weather service never issued a hurricane warning which means you only have to pay your standard deductible to fix any damage which could save customers quite a bit of money. if a hurricane warning was issued, maryland insurance administration, homeowners would have had to pay a percentage of the cost to fix the damage. that is great news for homeowners to could save tens of thousands of dollars. >> trick-or-treating was trickier this year because of power outages.
